Had problems with the computer the past 2 weeks. Finally getting my weekly post on 1 week late. So thankful for friends who know what a computer is all about.

Foggy Lens
The youth group went tubing. I took the camera outside
to take some pictures. Then came back in the chalet.
It got real foggy. This picture looks more foggy on my
camera then here.

I never get to enjoy a pretty sunset
Yes, I'm whining. We have trees to look at if
we want to see the sunset at our house.

Wolf Moon
I was trying to show how cool the moon looked
through the trees. Just to hard, but I did learn a
little more about my camera & how not to use the
flash.

Midnight
I was trying to capture how cool it was outside with the
moon shining down. This was with no flash. I didn't
capture it quite the way I wanted. I had fun playing with
the camera though.

Black lights
During Youth Group I was playing with shutter speed & all that good stuff. The light downstairs in the church sucks, but it's great for ambience. This is taken with no flash, so it's something new for me.

Fog line
It was one o'clock in the morning. (Yes, I stay up that late. It's the only time I can be alone.) Trying to catch the fog line. I took lots of pictures. This was the best & shows I have lots to learn.

NO SCHOOL!
The kids spent 3 hours outside. It was wonderful!

Slighty Frosted Tips
I was trying out the sepia. I like both. I just couldn't decide which one was the best. What do you think?
Saturday, January 16th
Little boy in yellow peeking out.
4-H music group performing at Comforts of Home. I'm still learning how to use the camera without flash. Can you tell?
Friday January 15th
Yes, This guy is on the Christmas tree that is still up.
We did say good-bye to it on Sunday, but it left lots of little green presents all over our floor.

The last of Christmas
Monday night shower night brought nice clean hair. Honestly this was a fluke shot. She turned just as I snapped the picture.
So the Scrabble shot was when we (Paul & I) taught the kids how to play on Sunday. We love to play games everyday of Christmas vacation. So, Scrabble was the last game of the vacation.
Saturday night found me realizing that I hadn't taken the time to get the camera out. I thought the ornaments on the tree would be fun to try. This lil' guy looks larger then life. I love how it looks close up.

Challenges
So my friend Amanda told me about a challenge that she was thinking about doing. Take a picture everyday & post it. I thought it'd be a great challenge for me, Because it will force me to take pictures & in the meantime I will be learning how to actually use the camera. So here is my first. I actually have 2 pictures. One really bad one & one ok one. You figure out which is which.

Forever ago...
It has been forever since I last did this & now I'm just writing & not analyzing. Going to do it quick, so I get my thoughts down quick. I finished a batch of applesauce a lil bit ago. Not fun when you don't have a proper food mill or what not. I have a contraption that does do applesauce, but it leaks & it makes a horrible mess. SO I thought I would do it by hand through a sieve. O. my. Too much work. I have to make me a friend that has a proper food mill.

hmm, maybe.
Okay, so I thought I would start a blog. Why? You may ask, because I thought it would give me an opportunity to try to write. Now that my only paying job is over I thought maybe I could try to submit some stories to actual magazines and get paid for it. Or maybe not. That was a massive run-on sentence. Let's see if I can fix it. Now that my only paying job is over. I could try to submit stories to magazines and get paid for it. Now that was not so bad, was it?
